Michael Kariuki

Manager, Finance and Accounting

Michael Kariuki is an accomplished Finance and Accounts professional with over a decade of experience in finance, accounts, taxation and auditing. He currently serves as the Head of Finance and Accounting at both the Kenya Ports Authority Pension Scheme (DB) and the Kenya Ports Authority Retirement Benefits Scheme 2012(DC). He has been instrumental in implementing a robust financial reporting system for the scheme and ensuring Tax Compliance.

He holds a Master’s in Business Administration-MBA (Finance) from Kenyatta University. He has a bachelor’s degree in business management (Finance Option) from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology.

Additionally, Kariuki is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) and a Certified Investment and Financial Analyst (CIFA-K). He is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (ICIFA) and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
